Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using typeblast (the “Service”), provided by Plumbug Studio Inc. (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of typeblast, including the macOS application and the website at typebla.st.
2. Description of Service
typeblast is a macOS text expansion application that allows users to create abbreviations that automatically expand into longer text, code snippets, or dynamic content. The Service also includes:
- Cloud sync of your personal snippets across devices
- Community snippet groups that users can browse and subscribe to
- Private groups for team collaboration
- A web dashboard for managing your account and snippets
The Service is currently in early access. Features, pricing, and availability may change.
3. Account Terms
To use typeblast you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide a valid email address
- You must be at least 13 years of age
- One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account
- You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at legal@typebla.st
4. Subscription and Billing
Certain features of typeblast require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered on the following plans:
- Monthly — $2.50 USD per month, billed monthly
- Annual — $25.00 USD per year, billed annually (equivalent to $2.08/month)
All billing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment and issues your invoice. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's terms of service.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect on your subscription.
Refunds are handled at our discretion. If you believe you are owed a refund, contact legal@typebla.st within 14 days of the charge.
5. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for new accounts. At the end of the trial, you will be required to subscribe to continue using paid features. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trials at any time.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use typeblast to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Create or distribute snippets that contain malicious code, spam, phishing content, or material that is unlawful, harmful, or offensive
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically access the typeblast website or API beyond normal use
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the typeblast macOS application except to the extent permitted by applicable law
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission
- Impersonate another person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules at our sole discretion.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of the snippets and content you create in typeblast. By publishing a snippet group to the community marketplace, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and copy that content to other users of the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish. We do not endorse community snippet groups and are not liable for any content created by users.
We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines without notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The typeblast application, website, logos, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Plumbug Studio Inc. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property other than the limited licence to use the Service as described herein.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Plumbug Studio Inc.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLUMBUG STUDIO INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $10 USD.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plumbug Studio Inc. from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Plumbug Studio Inc. is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plumbug Studio Inc. regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
